Service was amazing ! My husband & I are always up for experimenting with different foods & recipes. We were excited due to the fact that we were FINALLY going to try cow tongue...and we were not disappointed. We (I say "we" but honestly my husband did all of the prep & cooking) did a load of roasted vegetables & it was delicious. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the tongue tasted exactly like a beef roast. Two thumbs up! Thanks Butcher on the Block!
Stopped out to BOTB in Algonquin after seeing it on social media. This local, small business butcher offers EVERYTHING: poultry, red meat, sausage, brats, pasta/pasta sauces, deli, house made salads/sides, sandwiches to go, and more! I was very impressed with the prices as well. When at the butcher counter, they have more meat in the back or can possibly make something fresh if they're out. The deli also gave us samples of the salads to try before purchasing. Staff was very nice and almost everyone working said hello to us. I will certainly be back to try more of their offerings; check this out if ever in the area!
AMAZING products and service! Although the meat counter is small, they somehow make it work with the line of customers and number of options to choose from. I have special ordered prime ribs and gotten some great tips from the employees, which have always been spot on when implanting their suggestions. Highly, highly recommend!!

Every time my husband and I go here, it feels like a treat. We walk out with way more than we intended. If your husband likes to smoke meats, this will be his new favorite place. Their deli counter is amazing too. Service is great and very accommodating. They will keep things on hold for you and you should definitely subscribe to a list of their specials.
